Experienced Ruby on Rails Engineer

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join one of our passionate development teams as employee or freelancer (100% remote). The team consists of about 3 experienced engineers and is responsible to build a full-stack in car app in the fintech sector, working with the proprietary development environment of a big car company.

Your daily business:

  • You are mainly responsible to develop and write clean and organized backend RoR code

  • Since it is a small team you should also be willing to take part in the development of the in car app, which is based on Golang/QML

  • You cover your code with decent test-coverage

  • You are part of the decision making process regarding software architecture and engineering processes

  • You break down requirements into workable tasks

  • You align with different stakeholders as you work together closely with your team-members, QA and the customer

Your expertise and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing Ruby on Rails including test automation

  • Familiar with GIT and Postgres

  • Ideally worked with Golang and QML as well as Docker

  • Experience in fintech and automotive is an advantage

  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English

  • Hands-on mentality – you are enjoying development, refactoring, debugging, testing, and exploration

  • High quality awareness and very accurate and structured method
